What is the T5 – 5 Year Transformation Project?
T5 is a five year transformation project I am undertaking. Commencing on August 1, 2017, I will work towards the following objectives:
– My lifestyle allows me to get stronger everyday
– I control when and what I work on
– I have a positive impact on those around me
The goal is to build upon the base I have created (think of me as a minimum viable product in Agile terms) and see how a wide range of activities will contribute to incremental improvement over time. Just where will I end up in five years?
I will be addressing the following key areas:
Why am I doing this?
Over the past 10-15 years I have been on a steady path of increased happiness and productivity. I feel that by creating a visible framework around my next steps will help me stay accountable and hopefully inspire others.
What is the base I am starting from?
I consider myself a lucky man.
My life, for the most part, brings me happiness. I have a great marriage to Katya and we have two beautiful children. We are closely bonded with our family in Australia and our extended family in the Philippines. We are lucky to have a supportive group of wonderful friends. Many of these people we see far too little of due to distance.
I am a very busy person with a lifestyle that would be very stressful to others.

Hours sleep per night: 5-6
Hours worked per week: 80
Fitness: Low to moderate
I do not drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, eat meat or have caffeine although I used to enjoy all of these in abundance.
I am a humanistic and compassionate person. I want to stay that way.
I am excited to see what 5 years of incremental change can lead to.
