When working in the online casino niche, you basically need to pull every trick out of the bag, a good technical structure is key, alongside some good onpage SEO and content. But then the hard part is link building as this is where you need to think outside the box. No one wants to link to gambling websites so it is 10x harder to get links in this niche than any other niche. So, you would have to implement a paid outreach strategy, alongside either building and renting other peoples PBNS. Many people frown on this but you really have no choice in this niche, some nice PR simply won’t cut it in a market as competitive as this. Also, a good social media strategy is key for this type of thing too.
Tools, well, you do need a number of tools to audit, do competitor analysis and even working on social media. SEMrush is key for competitor analysis and keyword research, I like Ahrefs for backlink analysis and Deepcrawl to audit and crawl the website and you can use a tool like Contentcal.io which helps you plan out any social strategies that you may have in place. These are the tools i wouldn’t do without for most client projects that I work on.
Link Building was hard, and continues to be difficult but if you speak to the right people and offer the right money then anything is possible, so it’s all about ensuring you have the right type of budget and spending it in the right areas to make sure you get the most out of your campaign. The most important thing is doing more than your competition in every single way.

Advice for anyone in the SEO industry is never to be scared to try and tackle the most competitive markets, I hear many people instantly dismiss really competitive niches, however, if you get your hands dirty and get stuck in then anything is possible. There is enough money for everyone to make a healthy living out there.
