All of the new opportunities that freelancing will bring me! Just last week, I was asked by a client if I would be open to learning more under her in order to allow her business to grow and expand in 2018 (with my help!). This is a huge opportunity for both of us, and one I am really looking forward to! The beauty in freelancing is that your skill set is constantly evolving and expanding, due to working with clients with various backgrounds and areas of expertise. 2018 is sure to be a great year!

In the year 2018, I am looking forward to exciting new possibilities, hitting some health and fitness goals, meeting new clients and designing additional websites. Most importantly, I’m excited about my word of the year, Peace. To have peace (to me) means to be confident in your decisions and to have no fears and those are my goals for 2018.
I read earlier this week that choosing peace signals your intention to be an activator of life instead of a passive bystander. I want peace to shape and impact everything I do and say. Peace to me also means to be fearless, confident in my decisions and to remove all worries of what others think…and to me that sounds peaceful. Here’s to a wonderful 2018, full of peace!

I am looking forward to seeing what I can accomplish with conscious goals and concerted effort. 2017 was an interesting year for me; I mostly “flew by the seat of my pants,” as they say. 2018 is going to be about planning and growing. I’m so excited to see where the year takes me!

I am looking forward to starting my own online business in 2018. Over the years as a Virtual Assistant, I have gained valuable experience and insights in running digital campaigns, email marketing and social media management and marketing. I hope more VAs will be able to have the courage to make it on their own.

2018 to me is about growth and repositioning my business to specialise in Content Creation. I am most looking forward to working with more creative women in business. I am planning on spending lots of time creating, both for clients and my own business. A few projects I’ve developed to celebrate and support creative women in business are coming to life in 2018 and I can’t wait to share them!

Some of the things that I am looking forward to in 2018:
-
The ability to continue to shape and improve my VA business in order to be able to continue to serve my clients with the highest degree of customer service, since I believe that is the foundation for all else that I do for them.
-
I’m looking forward to continuing to build stronger relationships with my clients so that I can even better understand and take part in the success of their businesses.
-
I’m looking forward to creating and building new relationships and interests outside of my VA business, so that I can create a better work-life balance, which for me, continues to be a work in progress.
-
I’m looking forward to finding more ways to serve others, since that is I believe what we are called to do.

I always look forward to the new year because it starts a fresh slate of ideas, research, planning, and new clients. It’s as if my brain is tuned in to a higher and fresh skill set. I’m looking forward to fine-tuning my business in 2018. I no-longer feel like a beginner (though certainly not an expert), and I’d love my work to reflect that. I want to streamline my billing, my client tracking, and my communication. I know the satisfaction this will bring me as an independent contractor, and the benefits to my business will be great!

From a business perspective, come September when my daughter starts school, I am most looking forward to being able to dedicate more time to grow and to take my Virtual Assistant business to the next level. From a personal perspective, I don’t want September to ever come! I don’t want to ever lose those mid-week special Mummy/Daughter days, which I am told by other parents I will never get back. Nevertheless, the day will come and I know it will be an exciting new adventure for both of us.
How about you? What excites you for the year ahead? Thinking about the great things headed our way is definitely a great way to start 2018 positively. So grab your new year hats on (it’s never too late!) and let’s celebrate the exciting times ahead!
