Elizabeth Wright is a highly skilled, independent Virtual Assistant (VA) professional. She provides administrative, technical and/or creative business support services. Her primary goal is to free up her clients’ time to spend on their business. She works both in the banking industry and the not for profit sector for over 20 years. She also has personal assistant skills, CRM (database), administration, social media, and website management skills. The advantage of using Admin and More is that there are no long-term commitments. She helps you save on the recruitment costs of employing your own administration staff.
What are your main strengths as an Admin Virtual Assistant/SMS?
I am versatile, adaptable and flexible – all skills a great virtual assistant should have as you have many different things that demand for your time.
What is a typical day like for you?
No day is ever alike – I usually attend a networking meeting and then back at my desk dealing with all my client requests for their admin. I also answer telephones for clients.
How do you keep things organised? Do you have any methods you follow to keep things within their timescale?
I use my Outlook as my To Do List which then links to my task list with deadlines – I also use a CRM, Insightly, to manage all my customers so I can always stay on top of my customer needs.
What are your most favorite VA tools and how have these helped you to become productive?
My most favourite tool is my CRM as without that, I wouldn’t know who my customers are and what they need.
How do you utilise social media and how effective is it in growing one’s business?
I use Facebook and Linkedin – I try and post every day. For instance, I post ways a VA can help or interesting things about productivity and that really gives great interaction. I have also just started using Vodeo which is great in getting your personality across.
I see that you are a fan of integrating CRM rather than spreadsheets for database and record keeping. Could you explain the advantages?
The biggest advantage is that it’s all in one place rather than across several places. Integration with accounting also enables you to keep all your customers’ details in one place. It has really helped me grow my business as I can market much more effectively to my customers based on their needs.
What key lesson have you learned from a client that you would like to impart to your fellow VAs?
Don’t Discount your prices. If you believe in them stick with them as there are times that the customers who demand the most are those who get discounts, and then sometimes, they don’t even pay their bills. That is a big lesson that I have learned this year.
